The Friend beckons: come away from the market place
Away from the dissonant clamour
From those who sell their souls for pieces of gold
Those fixated on feeding a bottomless need
From the accusers of liars, of the greedy
Leave behind the promises
Enlightenment in a package
From the exclusive bid a hasty retreat.
Come home to rest in you
The hour is past for dreaming
On this evening ponder the greatness of you
Give wings to the song in your heart
When world-weary souls are leaving
The gift of love is yours to give the grieving
My friends, leave the dusty road of illusion
Come into the circle of soft love
Honour beauty, serenity and Truth.
This dream of awakening
This awakening in the dream
Walk amidst Beauty and Light
Eclipsing the phantasmagoria of the spin doctors, the illusionists
Listen for the strains of the Friend’s call
In luminous silence
A thousand worries erased
Within love’s embrace
Re-member the circle where iridescent beauty rains.
