Know The Truth

Know The Truth

When I was growing up, I learned that God is in heaven above, and when we die, if we have followed his laws, we will join him again in heaven. What if I was taught a different myth about God, would my life have been different in keeping with an alternate belief system about God? I have written many posts in the past about my beliefs that God is everywhere. The one Consciousness has taken form as everything, animate and inanimate. I found this wonderful quote in a book on an anthropological look at healers in the Mexican culture, They All Want Magic by Elizabeth De La Portilla:

When you know the truth, you are free…when I knew and I learned that the meaning of God, the meaning of God is life, es la vida, el amor, la verdad, la inteligencia, la unidad, el espirito, y el principio, and I learned the meaning of God…el principio. Es la vida, in my heart, in myself, and God can do everything. And then I ask myself, “What is the problem?”                                    —Golondrina

Isn’t this an uplifting principle by which to live? God is life, God lives in our hearts. Everyone and everything is an expression of God. When we learn this truth about life, we are empowered to live from our highest potential. There is no more need for self-doubt and all of its ensuing unwanted emotions. As Golondrina said, “What is the problem?” We are free!

This teaching is liberating, yet we continue to live life from the programs we have that tell us otherwise. These programs are deeply ingrained, perhaps even from past lives. Even when we learn the truth, we have to continuously practice remembering. We have to keep coming back to center. We have to keep renewing our connection to Source that expresses through us. This is the path of the spiritual healing journey. Through spiritual practices, we keep a constant vigilance against  delusion, and remain awake to the truth. Be aware!

Yes, to truly FEEL and to truly feel alive is in direct connection to God and the source.

So people say there is Good or God and evil. Have you ever noticed that the opposite spelling of evil is live. Therefore, evil is the opposite of living and therefore God. Even the word devil has the word live in it backwards. So to Live and to fully be Alive is to be One, and in Alignment with God. And to live, we must follow our feelings truthfully and without fear from Moment to Moment. One feeling will bring us to the next feeling without need of engaging the future. If we all did this we would be following our intuition or our spiritual instincts. Therefore, to be Free, we do not anticipate the moments to come. Because to anticipate is not to participate or be a part of this Moment.

Hello Bern,

How interesting, I never noticed the backward spelling and both words too! I like how you put all those important points together with a play on words. A good example of how the power of words create our experience. :D

Thanks for your insightful word play!

“Be aware” — thats the pointer! so true, what is noticed initially, with practice becomes one . To see God, Divine in everything is the ultimate Truth, then where is the fear?
An insightful post on awareness of oneness!! Thankyou Miruh!

This post is right up my alley, Miruh. How true and mindful it is. Practice makes perfect, they say.

“We have to keep coming back to center. ” One day I will remember to do that BEFORE everything falls apart, lol! Thank you for this post and I’m so glad you’re back!

Hello Merging Point,

It is the practice of a lifetime isn’t it? As long as we are in this body, we are learning about being fearless, to see the divine in everything, even in fear itself. :D
Glad you like the post.

May you walk in fearless surrender!

Hello Marion,

Yes, perhaps someone can invent some kind of sensor that gives off an alarm when things are about to fall apart: BE AWARE, SH.. ABOUT TO HIT THE FAN. :D

Maybe that will be the next best seller, right up there with the instant enlightenment programs. lol

Hope you are well and up and about. Those January chores are chomping at the bit!

Miruh, you always offer uplifting food for thought. Many people are conditioned to believe that higher forces are outside themselves. Insobelieving, they give away their inner power. Another perspective is every human being is unlimited conscious energy. This view is that Source energy is in everything and that we are each all powerful every moment. To reclaim inner power tansforms your life now. This is sometimes considered part of the process of self-disclosure and remembering to create changes from within. Self-honesty is key.

Hello Liara,

You said it very well: This view is that Source energy is in everything and that we are each all powerful every moment. To reclaim inner power transforms your life now.

This teaching is so radical for most people in the western world, that even knowing it, when it is so ingrained in us that power is on the outside, it takes a strong constant practice of mindfulness to wake-up.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom!

Love and blessings!
