Spirit Of Christmas

by Miruh on December 23, 2008

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled ’till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store? What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more?

* Dr. Seuss From “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”

A merry Christmas to everybody! A happy New Year to all the world!

Hi Miruh,
I have great affection for The Grinch. I watched it every year as a child. You might say that I was brought up on Dr. Suess.

May you exceed your expectations and bask in the thrill of love and this season. May the new year turn your dreams into reality.

I will be joining you and my friend Maithri in the egg nog. (Raising my glass) Cheers everybody! :D

Happy Holidays!

Hello Alexys,

My favorite too and I always look forward to little Cindy Lou Who saying, “Why Santa, why?”

Thanks for the heartfelt wishes and the same to you my friend. I raise my glass to dear friends, remembering that line from It’s A Wonderful Life something like: a man with friends is never a failure.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Peaceful Cheers. :D

Thanks so much for posting this…those words are so important. And I can hear the words…You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch…going through my head, over and over, right now.

I loved the Grinch. He was a gentle Grinch after all that blather!

Have a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful, creative New Year, Miruh!

This world is whatever we choose to experience. The Grinch is a classic tale that reminds us we can each choose to melt any lingering anger in our hearts. We each choose to feel happy, sad angry or dissatisfied. Life in this physical world is much simpler than people often assume. Choose to savor at least one magical experience during this holiday season. Opportunities to expand your heart, mind and soul are endless. Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas to you! Ah, if we could only learn the lesson of the Grinch!

Dear Marion,

Glad you liked the post. I think The Grinch is so loved because we see his transformation from a meanie to having his heart grow with love and gentleness. It is hopeful to think that all meanness in the world can be transformed like Mr Grinch was.

May you be surrounded by gentleness and peace in the new year!

Hello Liara,

I agree with you, “Life in this physical world is much simpler than people often assume.” We can choose to bring love and kindness to any situation, it heals all difficulties.

May you bask in the peace and joy of the holiday season!

Hello Mark,

I think the Grinch is here to stay, the Trickster that he represents anyway, because he is the catalyst for our Awareness. We humans and the Grinch archetype need each other.

May love and light surround you and bring you peace and joy in the coming year!
